As one of the UK's premier logistics and distribution hubs, Kettering and the wider Northamptonshire region (comprising the key A14 corridor) face unprecedented competition for skilled supply chain professionals. According to local labor market intelligence and ONS Nomis reports, demand for technical inventory control specialists in the East Midlands has intensified by 18.4% year-on-year. This talent deficit has emboldened traditional contingency recruitment agencies to levy exorbitant fees—often exceeding 20% of a candidate's starting salary.
According to ONS Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE) data for Kettering and Northamptonshire, the median annual salary for an experienced Inventory Planner stands at £35,000. When employing a traditional contingency recruitment agency charging a standard 20% placement fee, the cost-per-hire calculation is stark:
By forcing employers into percentage-based agreements, traditional agencies penalize you for offering competitive salaries. A higher starting salary should not dictate a higher recruitment cost. VacanCV decouples the cost of acquisition from the candidate's value, charging a single flat fee of £795 regardless of seniority.
Traditional recruiters rely on a passive database-matching methodology. They search their internal, often outdated CRM systems, contact the same pool of recycled candidates, and charge you £7,000 for the privilege. VacanCV’s Precision Saturation Process operates on an entirely different scale:
Kettering’s strategic proximity to the golden triangle of logistics means your competitors are constantly headhunting your staff. To maintain operational continuity, you need a repeatable, low-cost talent pipeline. Paying £7,000 every time an Inventory Planner moves on is financially unsustainable. With VacanCV, you can run multiple campaigns or hire multiple planners from a single campaign at no extra cost—representing an ROI of up to 88.6% compared to legacy agencies.
