Smart AI Live NowThe Future of AI Recruitment
Corby's strategic position in the UK's 'Golden Triangle' drives intense competition for Inventory Planners, with average local salaries reaching £38,500 based on ONS ASHE indicators.
Traditional recruitment agencies charge up to 20% of annual salary—costing Corby businesses between £7,000 and £9,000 per placement.
VacanCV's disruptive £795 flat-fee model delivers a complete talent acquisition pipeline, saving logistics operators over 88% in recruitment overheads.
Corby, Northamptonshire, represents one of the most critical logistical nerve centers in the United Kingdom. Positioned within the Midlands Logistics Golden Triangle, the region’s transport and storage sector employs over 18% of the local workforce—nearly double the national average of 9.3%, according to the latest Nomis Labour Market Profile. This hyper-concentration of warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution system has created unprecedented demand for specialised supply chain professionals, particularly Inventory Planners.
As supply chains pivot from 'Just-In-Time' to highly resilient 'Just-In-Case' models, Inventory Planners are the architects of capital efficiency. In Corby, where mega-facilities like the Eurohub and major logistics hubs for RS Components, Eddie Stobart, and Wincanton dominate the landscape, an unfilled Inventory Planner role isn't just an empty desk—it is a direct threat to operational throughput, lead times, and working capital optimization.
For decades, traditional recruitment agencies have operated on a percentage-of-salary commission model. For an Inventory Planner in Corby, where the current market salary ranges from £35,000 to £45,000 (with an ONS-aligned median average of £38,000), a standard 20% agency fee results in an invoice of £7,600.
This legacy pricing structure is fundamentally decoupled from the actual labor required to source talent. In the modern, digitized recruitment landscape, agencies use the same programmatic job boards, LinkedIn sourcing tools, and CV databases that are universally available. Charging an extra £6,805 over our flat rate does not yield better talent; it merely funds the recruiter's overheads and commissions. VacanCV’s disruptive £795 fixed-fee process replaces this inefficient system with a lean, software-driven, and highly optimized search process that passes 100% of the cost savings directly to the employer.
We do not wait for active candidates to find us; we saturate the local market using a multi-layered recruitment engine designed specifically for the Northamptonshire logistics corridor. Our system systematically targets both active job seekers and passive candidates who are currently employed but open to strategic moves.
Let us look at the hard mathematics of a single hire. By opting for the VacanCV process instead of a traditional recruitment firm, the financial variance is stark:
| Financial Metric | Traditional Agency (20%) | VacanCV (Fixed) | Your Net Savings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fee on £35,000 Salary | £7,000 | £795 | £6,205 |
| Fee on £38,000 Salary | £7,600 | £795 | £6,805 |
| Fee on £45,000 Salary | £9,000 | £795 | £8,205 |
For operations hiring multiple supply chain professionals per year, the legacy agency model represents a massive drain on EBITDA. Recruiting five Inventory Planners annually via traditional agencies costs upwards of £38,000. Through VacanCV, that same volume of elite talent is secured for just £3,975—saving your business over £34,000 in capital that can be reinvested directly into operational system or inventory software upgrades.
The recruitment landscape has changed. Speed, transparency, and cost efficiency are the new benchmarks of successful operational management. Do not let outdated recruitment agencies tax your growth. Our Precision Total Saturation Process is engineered to deliver elite Inventory Planners to your Corby facility quickly, efficiently, and for a flat fee of £795.
