Eliminates variable 20% agency fees, replacing them with a highly optimized, flat £795 sourcing campaign.
Targets active and passive Engineering Managers within Stamford, Peterborough, and the A1 corridor.
Utilizes real-time ONS labor market data to position your vacancy competitively without overpaying.
Stamford, Lincolnshire, and its surrounding industrial corridors—spanning the A1, Peterborough, and Grantham—represent a highly competitive zone for engineering talent. Data derived from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE) indicates that the median salary for an Engineering Manager in the East Midlands region currently stands at £70,000 per annum. With high demand driven by advanced manufacturing, food processing, and precision packaging operations near the Rutland border, securing qualified technical leadership is historically expensive.
Traditional recruitment firms exploit this regional talent scarcity to justify aggressive percentage-based fees. By treating talent acquisition as an opaque broker system, they charge thousands of pounds for access to candidates who are actively visible on public professional networks. Our search is to dismantle this paradigm by providing direct, uncompromised access to Stamford's engineering talent pool for a transparent, flat rate.
When a Stamford-based manufacturing business hires an Engineering Manager at the regional market average of £70,000 using a traditional recruitment agency, they are subjected to a standard 20% placement fee. This translates to an immediate invoice of £14,000 upon the candidate's start date. This is what we call the 'recruitment tax.'
We challenge the logic of this model. The labor required to identify, engage, and screen a candidate does not scale with their salary. It takes the exact same operational resources to source a £40,000 Maintenance Engineer as it does a £70,000 Engineering Manager. Despite this, traditional agencies charge you £6,000 more for the latter. VacanCV bypasses this variable pricing model entirely. For a flat fee of £795, we use a comprehensive, multi-channel direct sourcing campaign that targets the same regional candidates, saving you exactly £13,205 per hire.
To capture passive engineering leaders who are not actively browsing job boards, we execute a highly structured, localized acquisition strategy designed for the Stamford-Peterborough corridor:
With macroeconomic pressures squeeze manufacturing margins across Lincolnshire, operational efficiency is critical. Every pound spent on redundant agency margins is a pound taken away from capital equipment investments, R&D, or shopfloor wages. By migrating from a contingent recruitment model to our flat-fee direct-sourcing process, Stamford employers can reallocate £13,000+ back into their core business operations.
Whether you require an Engineering Manager to oversee a continuous improvement initiative, manage a multi-disciplinary maintenance team, or lead a capital expenditure project, the talent exists locally. Our system ensures you find them first, find them fast, and hire them without paying the agency premium.
