Lutterworth's strategic logistics and manufacturing corridor demands elite Engineering Managers, currently commanding an average base salary of £72,500.
Traditional 20% contingency recruitment agencies charge £14,500 per placement, draining Leicestershire engineering budgets unnecessarily.
VacanCV disrupts this legacy model with a flat-fee campaign of £795, delivering fully vetted local candidates and saving employers an average of £13,705 per hire.
Lutterworth and the wider LE17 district of Leicestershire represent one of the UK’s most critical engineering, manufacturing, and logistics hubs. Positioned strategically along the M1 corridor and home to Magna Park, the demand for highly skilled Engineering Managers remains exceptionally high. However, this demand has historically allowed legacy recruitment agencies to exploit local businesses through archaic percentage-based pricing models.
According to recent labor market data aligned with the Office for National Statistics (ONS) Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE) for the East Midlands, the average base salary for an Engineering Manager in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, stands at £72,500. For highly specialized manufacturing, automation, or heavy machinery sectors, this figure frequently escalates to £85,000.
Under a standard 20% recruitment fee structure, hiring a single manager costs local employers £14,500. At VacanCV, we view this percentage-based model as an unearned tax on your growth. The effort required to identify an elite leader does not scale with their salary; therefore, your recruitment fees shouldn't either.
Traditional recruiters justify their massive commissions by keeping their sourcing methods proprietary. In the digital age, this is a fallacy. The vast majority of candidates are sourced through the same programmatic job boards, professional networks, and local CV databases. The only difference is how much you pay to access them.
By transitioning to VacanCV’s flat-fee model of £795, Lutterworth businesses immediately reclaim £13,705 in bottom-line margin per hire. This represents a staggering 1,723% ROI compared to traditional agencies. Instead of funding a recruiter's commission, that capital can be reinvested into competitive salaries, facility upgrades, or engineering R&D.
