Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, sits at the heart of the East Midlands manufacturing corridor. With proximity to the M1 (Junctions 27 and 28), the A38, and thriving employment hubs like the Oddicroft Lane Industrial Estate, Maun Valley Industrial Park, and Hermitage Lane, local engineering firms face a highly competitive landscape. According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) Nomis local profiles for Nottinghamshire, the demand for highly skilled technical leadership (SOC Code 112 - Production Managers and Directors in Manufacturing) has risen by 14.2% year-over-year. Despite this demand, local businesses continue to sabotage their operating margins by paying exorbitant recruitment commissions.
The standard recruitment agency model is fundamentally broken. When hiring an Engineering Manager in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, employers are routinely quoted a 20% finder's fee. Based on recent regional salary benchmarks, an experienced Engineering Manager command an average annual base salary of £62,500. Let us look at the financial damage:
Traditional recruiters do not perform £12,500 worth of specialized labor. They run basic keyword searches on standard CV databases, scrape LinkedIn profiles, and present you with candidate profiles that are already publicly available. They charge you a premium for access, not results.
We do not rely on passive job board postings or hope that top-tier engineering talent in the Ashfield district stumble across an ad. VacanCV uses a hyper-targeted, multi-channel saturation process designed to dominate the local market:
This level of market saturation ensures that every qualified Engineering Manager in the region is aware of your opportunity. Why pay a commission-based recruiter to run a partial search when you can saturate the entire market for a flat £795?
Operating in Kirkby-in-Ashfield requires deep knowledge of the local industrial platform. Whether your facility specializes in high-precision aerospace components, heavy structural fabrication, automated distribution, or automotive manufacturing, the candidate profile must match the operational realities of the East Midlands. By stripping out the administrative waste of traditional recruitment, VacanCV allows engineering firms to reinvest their capital into competitive compensation packages, state-of-the-art tooling, and facility expansion, rather than recruiter commissions.
We bypass the middleman. We stop the margin erosion. We deliver the exact talent your engineering team needs to maintain peak operational output.
